Period Of This Scheme
The fellowship will be for 3 years. And later it will be extended up to 4th and 5th year. Therefore, the extension completely depends upon the terms and conditions of officials.

- So, for the first two years, the candidates will receive Rs. 18000 per month for the people who have designated as Junior Research Fellow
- Moreover, for the 3rd year Rs. 21000 per month is available at the research fellow is going to be updated to the Senior Research Fellow
- For a year probability grant of Rs. 20000 will be allocated for the people
- For all the qualified candidates of Junior Research Fellow, the officials will offer Rs. 31000 per month
- Rs. 35000 per month is the amount given for selected people for Senior Research Fellow.
Eligibility Criteria To Apply for HSCST Fellowship
- Need to finish the M. Sc or equivalent degree in any of the science subjects such as Engineering Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Cheminacl Sciences
- Need to grab a minimum 55% marks
- The age is not more than 28 years
- Need to qualify in Junior Research Fellow-NET (CSIR/ UGC) and LS-NET in the joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellow and LS (NET)
- For SC/ ST/ OBC/ Physically Handicapped the age should be extended up to 5 years.
HSCST Fellowship Programme Selection Procedure
All the applied students will be selected on the basis of the performance in NET (National Eligibility Test). Meanwhile, twice a year the NET is organized by CSIR. Those who have qualified in Junior Research Fellow-NET (CSIR/ UGC) and LS-NET in the joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellow and LS (NET) will be awarded this fellowship.
