Qualification/ Experience
Professor:– An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria are given in Appendix II, Table 2. A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and / or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate OR An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above) / industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has ten years’ experience.
Associate Professor:- A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines. A Master‘s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed). A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2.
Assistant Professor:- A Master‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET OR The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The Times Higher Education (THE). The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

How to Apply
Interested and eligible who wish to apply for Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor posts in CUG, they are required to apply through online mode by filling online application on CUG official website at www.cug.ac.in from 8th July 2019 and before 8th August 2019. After applying online applicants need to send the print out of online application form along with all self-attested testimonials, certificates and all supporting documents relating to Academic Performance Indicators (API) to Central University of Gujarat. The applications with all relevant documents should reach on or before 23rd August 2019.

Important Instructions:
- Unfilled vacancies will be rolled over to the next phase.
- Eligibility of the candidates in this phase will be re-screened / amended in the next phase as per rules / policy / regulation in vogue.
- The composite rolling advertisement will remain alive all the time and will be updated every time when a new vacancy is created or when the earlier advertised positions are filled up by selection. The prospective applicants, therefore, can apply anytime of the year, but the applications will be processed after the cut-off dates indicated beforehand on the website.
- There shall be two cut-off dates in a calendar year, 6 months apart. The applications received till the cut-off date shall be processed further for shortlisting and conduct of selection process. Applications received after the cut-off date shall be processed further during the next round of selection process subject to the condition that the vacancy continues in the composite rolling advertisement after completion of the selection process in hand.
- Applicants may update their qualifications and other academic achievements, etc. (for API / Quality score) forwarding the details to University till cut-off date as prescribed under the particular Rolling Advertisement. Applicants are not allowed to update their application beyond the cut-off date. However, if the post remains unfilled till the next cut-off date, the candidates will be permitted to update their applications by the cut-off date. The eligibility of candidates for a particular round of selection shall be decided as on the cut-off date of that round.
