Job Type:- Temporary & Contract Basis

Qualification/ Experience

Project In-charge:– Master’s Degree in Veterinary Science / Equivalent qualification with relevant specialization with first class or equivalent grade (6.5 on 10 point scale or 60% marks) and consistent academic record with minimum 5 years’ experience in experimental work using laboratory animal models and in lab animal breeding.

Senior Technical Officer:- M.V.Sc. / M.Pharm / M.Sc. / equivalent qualification with relevant specialization minimum 3 years of experience in experimental work using small animal models and in lab animal breeding.

Technical Assistant:- B. Pharm / B.Sc. or equivalent degree in life sciences with minimum 2 years of experience in laboratory animal breeding and management and / or in Zebra fish management.

Lab Technician:- B.Sc. / B. Pharm or equivalent degree in Life Sciences with minimum 1 year of experience in molecular biology techniques.

Multi-Skilled Assistant:- Bachelor degree in any discipline with one year of experience in administration / purchase / accounts with proficiency in editing, database programs such as Microsoft Excel, word processing on computers and other software’s.

Age Limit

Age limit is as on closing date of advertisement

Multi-Skilled Assistant 28 years

Selection will be on the basis of Interview.

  2. The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment / absorption in Funding Agency or in IISER Pune.
  3. The appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency particularly applicable to the said project.
  4. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions.
  5. The prescribed educational qualifications and experience are the bare minimum and mere possession of same does not entitle candidates to be considered for interview. Where number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible to interview all the candidates. Based on the recommendations of the Screening Committee, the Project Investigator may restrict the number of candidates to be considered for the interview. Therefore, it will be in the interest of the candidates, to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field at the time of applying.
  6. Relaxation in requirement of qualification and/or experience may be considered in case of exceptionally meritorious applicants with the prior approval of the competent authority.
  7. Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualification and experience may be considered with the prior approval of the competent authority for candidates having qualification and experience higher than the advertised.
  8. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
  9. Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
  10. No interim enquiries / correspondence / communication of any sort will be entertained on the matter.
