Madras High Court Syllabus for District Judge Post Details
The High Court of Judicature, Madras, or Madras High Court has finally planning to conduct the prelims at first. So, 1st November 2020 is the exam date that fixed by the higher authority.

Preliminary Exam Syllabus
- It is an objective type exam
- Paper I consists of 100 marks. And the time duration is 3 Hours
- Paper-II consists of 100 marks and the time duration is 3 Hours
- Total Marks: 200
- The written test will be conducted in the forenoon and afternoon session on the same day
- The Question papers will be bi-lingual that is in English and Tamil
- If in case of any inconsistency in between the English and Tamil versions of the questions, then the English version will prevail over the Tamil version
- Each question consists of 1 mark
- For each wrong answer ‘1/4’ (0.25) mark will be deducted.
Mains Exam Pattern
- Paper I consists of Law and consists of 75 Marks
- The Translation, as well as Essay Writing Paper, consists of Essay Writing on General topic, Writing Skill, and Current Developments in Law and Translation) carries 75 Marks
- Law Paper-II consists of 75 Marks
- Judgment Writing consists of 75 Marks
