The NEC Merit Scholarship Tripura is one of the major welfare measures of the Government of Tripura which is proposed at the educational upliftment of scholars Below the poverty line(BPL), initiated by the Department of NEC.
NEC Merit Scholarship Amount
- M.Phil/ PhD: Rs. 30,000 per annum
- PG course: Rs. 25,000 per annum
- Degree level course: Rs. 22,000 per annum
- Diploma level course: Rs. 20,000 per annum

- The stipends and book awards are open only to the student who is a constant resident of any of the States in the North East.
- The certificate to this outcome received from the Deputy Commissioner of the district in which the aspirants are a continual resident needs to be provided by the student.
- Certificate from any additional organization which will not be allowed. Nonetheless, for SC/ST candidates the certificate declared by the competent official can be regarded as PRC.
