Eligibility Criteria
- Have to be a working politician, journalist, policymaker or scholar currently or recently active in the field
- Must be a journalist from national, local, and international TV, print, radio, as well as digital media; non-fiction author; political advisor and policymaker; media and civic technology innovator; leading academic scholar in fields such as policy analyst, media research, and political science
- Need to be fluent in English (reading, listening, speaking, and writing)
- Within the two years prior to their preferred semester applying candidates need not participate in another fellowship.

Rules & Regulations
- Selected people have to note that travel and living expenses are not covered by the Shorenstein Center
- Candidates will be given a workstation in the Center’s offices to use as a home base, with a laptop computer
- Non-native English speakers should submit IELTS or TOEFL scores
- Selected candidates are paid in monthly installments at the end of each month over the 4-month semester
- Those who are participating in this fellowship need not participate in any other fellowships
- Fellows are able to select a paid Harvard Kennedy School student research assistant to work on their projects (Per week students have to work up to 10 hours).
